The Challenge Presented
DoorDash was launching adidas on the platform for the first time in New Zealand, creating an opportunity to show Kiwis that DoorDash could deliver much more than food.
With the South Africa Tour bringing late-night rugby to Kiwi fans, the opportunity was to bring the partnership to life in an exciting and useful way, with adidas supporter gear available around the clock on the DoorDash app on test days.
The Strategy Created
Bastion worked closely with DoorDash and adidas to bring their partnership to life around the South Africa Tour.
A key part of Bastion’s role was bringing the Epic Watch Party to life, where one lucky winner received more than $4K worth of prizes, food and adidas merch delivered straight to their door by former All Black Carlos Spencer, who joined them for the game.
Bastion also worked with paid and gifted creators to build awareness of the partnership across social and get more Kiwi rugby fans involved.
The Strength Achieved
Bastion brought the DoorDash x adidas partnership to life through the Epic Watch Party and creator activity, connecting both brands with Kiwi rugby fans during one of the sport’s biggest moments.
By turning the partnership into an engaging, real-world experience, Bastion put DoorDash in a position of strength beyond food delivery, showcasing the breadth of what can be delivered through the platform and making its convenience part of the game-day experience.
